Disney Martial Arts Festival March 28

Posted in News on March 29, 2009 by legacymartialartsstudio

We had a great time at the Disney Martial Arts Festival. Duilio Muller, a Legacy Student placed 2nd place and 3rd place at the tournament. That was his first tournament. We are very proud of him. At the tournament he competed against seasoned martial artist. Some were even instructors from other schools. There is another tournament in May and hope that more students will compete. Attending the tournament were legendary Grandmasters as such as Narrie Babao who in 1978 was the first Chanbara challenge champion where back then there were no padded weapons. Also attended were Atillo from his Atillo Balintawak. See pictures below for details.

Richard Bustillo Seminar Article

Posted in News on January 27, 2009 by legacymartialartsstudio

We had a Legendary Time with Martial Arts Legend Richard Bustillo. At 67 years of age he is still practicing and teaching to preserve the arts as taught to him by Sijo Bruce Lee.

Sifu Richard walked in with a casual easy going attitude. Participates were so surprised at how approachable he was. He started the morning with an introduction of himself and the participants. Then had an open question and answer session.

Then started with the warm-up and taught Muay Thai and Jeet Kune do on Day 1. The energy level throughout the day was felt through the halls of the entire building.

The 2nd day Sifu Richard led his instruction with Brazilian Jiujitsu and Cacoy Doce Pares. Even more participants attended on the 2nd day which had the studio packed with great martial artist.
